Today, Google Celebrates 400th Anniversary of Galileo's Telescope with a special logo on their homepage.

In 1609, Italian scientist, Galileo Galilei, introduced an elementary telescope to the world. This sparked fascination with mysteries of the night sky for centuries to come. In 2009, the world came together to mark the 400-year anniversary of one of the most important scientific breakthroughs of all time.
