Well, everyone where I work has their own FirstScope now.

I've had more fun with mine. Daytrips. Sweeping out to sea from LA towards Catalina, seeing the boats, the island etc. Lots of details on that sailboat at 38x with my 8mm Brandon.

Now, the latest adventure. I was in the Southern Sierras, no light pollution, fat crescent moon setting in the west. Using a 15mm Celestron Plossl, the FS works at 20x, 3.8mm exit pupil. I took it off the mount - yes BOTTOMLESS! Then, tucked the scope onto my chest and bent my head forwards slightly. The ChestScope! My ChestScope would be my girlfriend's BreastScope.

Moon was in the trees so I skipped it. Swept Scorpius. M6 and M7 were magnificent bundles of many stars, plus plenty of surrounding Milky Way stars. Sagittarius: Lagoon was detailed and BRIGHT! Trifid was distinctive and lobed. Moving north, I changed to the 25mm Plossl (standard with the SE series from Celestron). RichFieldScope at 6.3mm exit pupil. What's that? I stopped on a rich grouping of stars that was embedded in a glowing cloud of Milky Way. I didn't recognize it. I swept again, star-hopping up from the south and realized it was an old buddy, M11. The FirstScope had pulled in so many galactic field stars that the cluster looked quite different. Context had changed and I almost thought a friend was a stranger!

Too bad that Jupiter was still not up in the forested area - I'm sure that many of us will see the Galiean satellites, oval globe and belts-bands of Old Jove this summer in FirstScopes.
